10 stars
Jeff writes and directs amazing stories. Highly recommend this one.
Excellent
The stories are compelling, but the voice acting is phenomenal. This podcast should be a blueprint for all short story productions.
HOW PODCAST SHOULD BE!!
Top level of editing and sound design/ quality … Also it’s not one of those podcasts that just have one person reading the whole story this actually has real actors.. this show is one of the top 3 horror/drama podcasts
Top 5 of all time
Always some how ending up deeply invested in these stories and they never cease to make me cry when they end, but in the best way
Amazing sound design
Outstanding sound design by Mr. Schmidt. Top shelf voice acting, intriguing and unsettling stories. A wide range of characters and always feels fresh. Well worth your time.
My fav podcast
Literally my favorite podcast ever. Eons beyond others and I frequently scour Reddit searching for sci-fi/horror audio dramas.
This horror anthology thinks of unique ways of telling horror stories. It avoids predictable horror tropes in favor of surprising plots. The listener is spared the tired stories about sexy teenagers being stalked by serial killers, and there is no torture. The adult content is not to my tastes, but at least it is always consensual!
Late to the party
I just stumbled across Ominous Thrill last week (yeah, way late to it) and have been binge listening ever since. Great production and great that they are longer format anthology episodes, much better than the 7-15 minute long episodes normal anthology podcasts. Can’t wait for more!
All
This is addicting !! Please keep it up I work third shift so this keeps me going!
Loving this podcast
The acting is excellent, the writing , even better. A total delight. Thank you very much For getting the nightmares kick-started. Best of luck in your endeavours,
Newbie
I am only a few episodes in and it’s so different from what I am used to as far as podcast goes but i definitely am intrigued and am enjoying the episodes.
Down hill
Stories are heavily sexual and plot is lacking. Why does everyone sound like they should be a on a phone s*x line
EXCELLENT!
Once a month is not enough!!!
You guys really know how to put works of art together
Thrillzz is by far my favorite immersive podcast one they come out with an episode. I literally drop what I’m doing to take a ride through the city and just listen to them and it’s always the best experience. I couldn’t wait for that today and almost burned my eggs cause I got so immersed and lies one cannot wait for lies two and three you guys never stop doing what you’re doing so excited for Moore my fave. ever since the truth stopped making episodes. This is the closest you guys are gonna find if you have not heard of them. Please try it out
Terrified and Loving It
This show is amazing!! The voice acting, the sound effects, you really feel and understand what is happening and where each story is taking you. I’m so totally impressed, and shaken to my core 😂 please keep making more!
My fav podcast
Echoing other reviewers, please make more!! These stories are just the best.
Great Stories and Production
One of the better shows out here that prepare and produce great shows. Love the voice work and the stories! Keep up the good work!
Love it
Love the voices. This show got my attention 1!minute I listened to it. Please make more!!!!!
Keep it up
Fantastic stories voiced by amazing actors! Just the right amount of creepy.
❤️ OMG SO GOOD!
I binged all the episodes and I’m loving it. The stories are varied and fun, the aacting and sounds are👩🍳 with lots of great female characters. Highly recommend! Don't listen to the baby bros complaining. Theres nothing the men in this pod do that women don't already get IRL like all the time, sadly.

Brilliant
Another great podcast. Excellent stories, first class voice actors and sound effects. Another podcast on my list. Keep them coming. Thank you.
Thrills and Chills!
Horror fans, delight in Jeff Schmidt’s masterpiece theater of the macabre! Not only are his original episodes well worth a listen, but he’s chosen some incredible voice actors to bring other authors’ stories to life - definitely check out Extraction by Tiffany Michelle Brown, for one. And don’t forget to wear headphones for the wraparound audio experience - truly, a special way to enjoy horror content!
Three episodes in and…It’s the same as most of the rest, unfortunately.
So, the character voicing/acting, sound design and over-all polish on this cast is fantastic, truly well done. BUT: three episodes in and, unfortunately, the low hanging and lazily over-harvested fruit of “hetero white men are evil” is all too prevalent. Thankfully, the days of people being intimidated into silence about this ham-fisted trope are over. Again, this pod is fantastically produced, just tired of the “white men bad” theme that seems to be an unspoken requirement of these creators to no-so-subtly cram into their content.
The Chamt
Loved this three part series. Great sound. Great story.
Start prioritizing story over sound design
These stories are terrible, and mostly redundant. So obsessed with sound design, that it seems to be the first (only) thought and the story is the lowest priority.
Shows
Amazing to listen to. takes me back to the radio drama shows. Thank you and please keep it up appreciate your very hard work.
Perfect
This is absolutely the best quality podcast I’ve heard, and the stories are all very entertaining and interesting, never a slow pace! Of course I’d love more, more frequently, but the quality is with the wait so no complaints!
Sexy and horrific!
Who could ask for more? I am, I’m asking for more. Never stop, please!
💀💀💀😫
Possibly the scariest podcast I’ve listened to!
Review
Fantastic!
Great show
Awesome podcast
🔪🖤💀
I binged the first season of this show on a train ride. And then I seriously considered staying on the train to listen to the episodes of the 2nd season because I didn't want it to end! Such an excellent anthology, with top-notch voice actors, very detailed sound design, and solid writing all combine to make this a must-listen for fans of horror!

Yikes 5🌶️ Lilith
I don’t know what’s going on with this podcast. It was great when it started. I’ve listened from the start. It seems that the ‘line in sand’ keeps being pushed out with each new season. Is this a shock value increases downloads thing? Unfortunately for me, the Lilith season goes too far. It was very spicy and graphic. I don’t want to actually hear b j s and sa. There are tasteful ways to portray this. It was gross and uncomfortable. I really was excited for that storyline too. Finally unsubscribing. Too uncomfortable and don’t want coworkers and family to stumble on it.
the writers sure like to pander!
very lazy writing..like almost AI generated bad. No meat to the scripts it’s just pandering to insecure audiences who need affirmation. My dog could write better!
Way too woke.
Just another horror podcast pushing its political agenda. It’s a shame. I was really excited to listen.
He was a great kid he has
We can get together sometime
One of the best
I’ve been listening to podcasts and audiobooks for years. This is honestly one of the best!Great stories and great production! An absolute must listen
Great stories
Love this podcast! Awesome stories, very easy to get into them and I love all the voices and acting. Can’t wait to hear more!

Excellent stories and production
I stumbled upon this podcast. I love the spooky story podcasts and have been having trouble getting into one. I am a big fan of Dr. NoSleep and the NoSleep podcast, but this one has riveting stories with an interesting immersive sound. I would highly recommend!
Refreshing take on Horror
I’ve been looking for another amazing horror podcast for years (I’ve been listening to a more well known one but honestly the stories haven’t been as good for years now), and I stumbled on Ominous Thrill. I wasn’t expecting much but I really enjoyed each episode. Sound effects and voice actors are top notch and theres a bit of a ‘stick it to ‘em’ revenge vibe for the bad people and I’m super vindictive so it makes me happy lol. Definitely an awesome podcast with great stories!
Great self contained stories
Blood curdling? No. Decent tales? Yes. The story telling and audio designs are fantastic. And I love that the stories are self contained. A long series can be enjoyable, but sometimes you just want a brief but good story … and these guys deliver!
Couldn’t stop listening…
This podcast was so awesome 🤩; I could not stop listening . BTW, you should really make more (Advice After Dark) episodes.
Man hating, homicidal, anti-White, degen communist propaganda.
I’m reading the title of my review again.. and I’m already concerned with just how many of you reading it will be unironically delighted to listen to the show… and how someone like me is “upset” with a podcast. Says a lot more about you, than me. We get it…. You’re queer communists and you’re proud of it. The psychology of the writer(s) would give Freud a field day. Congrats, listener… you’ve managed to destroy the fiction genre of podcasts irreparably in less than 4 years. Bring back REAL writing with a feel-good ending for “normal” people.. ie like “Black Out” had done until the woke mob went for that show as well. Y’all need to give your heads a shake.

Exceptional!
Fantastic Spatial Audio sound design, anthology writing, and excellent vocal performances! Top-notch dark entertainment!
Another woke podcast
First 5 minutes and I hear a joke about “diversity hire” in a negative light as if the man who said it is a “bigot” and the main character says “want to say that out loud” More communist, cancel culture nonsense. You’re in the minority. “diversity hires” are a very real world problem, with its ill effects on display in nearly every company small or large. White folks denied jobs they’re qualified for because of “ESG scores”. White people are TIRED of non-Whites in their “space”. Get. Over. It. You’re contributing to the evil communist takeover by perpetuating the myth that “in-group preference” is evil when White people do it. “Nina” is the evil bigot, ironically. Oh, and she’s a homicidal, narcissist who cares only for her own success. The WORST type of character / person. Hard pass.
LOVE IT!
I really like this podcast a lot!! It’s one of my favourites so far the stories are really good and I love the voice acting! My only complaint that I’d have is the make out/explicit scenes are sometimes a little cringe but other than that I really enjoy everything about the podcast!
